I had a nice morning duck hunt with UMD student Alex Culp on Tuesday. Culp is an avid duck hunter who manages to work in his hunting and scouting around a busy class schedule. By Tuesday, he had hunted 12 of 16 days in the Minnesota duck season.

He grew up in Lakeville, Minn., a Twin Cities suburb, where he did a lot of field hunting for ducks and geese. He also guides hunts.

I’ll profile Culp in upcoming Outdoors story in the Duluth News Tribune.
