Jigging For Lake Trout With Tim Sonday On Lake Superior

I joined Tim Sonday of Two Harbors the other day to jig for lake trout on Lake Superior near Two Harbors. Sonday has been jigging lake trout rather than trolling for them for several years. We fished with steel and braided lines in 175 feet of water to find fish.

Check the News Tribune’s outdoors pages on Sunday, or go to duluthnewstribune.com that day for a complete story. Sonday is a fun guy to be on the water with, and we had a good morning of fishing.

Thanks Tim, it was great to see you again, even if it was in the papers! You are a ‘rock star’ now. I met you last year in October at Mick’s cabin. You came over and had dinner with us. My step-Dad Gene was there with me. I see that you are having no problem keeping your passion of fishing alive. Happy casts. Take care.
