This year’s Minnesota Governor’s Deer Opener event will be held Nov. 1-3 in Winona, Minn.  The invitation-only event is open to members of the media and is coordinated by Explore Minnesota Tourism. The event pairs members of the media and others with local hunters for a morning in the woods. Minnesota’s firearms deer season opens Nov. 3.

Last year’s Governor’s Deer Opener was held at Biwabik.
