Among this past week’s reports from Minnesota Department of Natural Resources conservation officers was an item filed by Scott Staples, one of the Cloquet-area officers. It seems a muskrat kept trying to get into a convenience store at Moose Lake, Staples said in the report.
"Apparently the young rodent was hanging out in the car wash for a few days and then moved to the front of the store, where it would try to go inside when customers would open the door," the report said.
Staples, with the help of a Moose Lake police officer, caught the animal and transported it to a remote swamp.
Hey, at least it was a clean muskrat.
